a.m care care given in the early morning when the patient first awakens.

p.m care care given to prepare a patient for sleep
anticoagulant medications that thin the blood and increase the risk of bleeding
bridging pillows used to relieve pressure in such a way that spaces are left for specific areas
foot board a device placed between the mattress and bed to keep the feet at the right angles to the legs
foot drop neurological problem that causes the foot to point downward
fracture bedpan used for patients who cannot elevate the pelvic area
incontinent a person leaks urine by accident
commode a plastic toilet seat, holding a chamber pot under the seat for patients who cant make it to the bathroom
urinal used by male patients when they need to urinate, (duct or bottle).
