| battery | a device that produces electrical energy due to changes to the materials inside it |
| circuit | a complete and circular path around which electrical energy can flow |
| closed path | a complete circuit in which electrical energy can flow |
| electrical energy | a form of energy that gives some things the power to work |
| open path | an incomplete circuit in which electrical energy cannot flow |
| thermal energy | energy that explains the temperature of something |
| conductor | a material through which energy quickly flows |
| electric current | the flow of electrical energy |
| insulator | a material that slows or stops the flow of energy, such as electricity, heat, or sound |
| vibration | the rapid back-and-forth motion of an object. |
