What is Photosynthesis? Photosynthesis is when plants take sunlight and carbon dioxide and water and make it into oxygen.
What is cellular respiration? Cellular respiration uses oxygen to convert the energy stored in glucose into the energy stored in ATP. Its byproducts are water and carbon dioxide.
Where does photosynthesis occur? The chloroplast
What happens when carbon dioxide reacts with water? It produces carbonic acid
What does carbonic acid release? Protons
What is one way to find out how many protons there is? Adding BTB and depending on the color it will tell you how many protons there are
If the BTB is blue is it low proton concentration or at high proton concentration? Low proton concentration
At a high proton concentration is BTB yellow or blue yellow
Does photosynthesis cause an increase of pH(protons)? yes
Why does photosynthesis cause an increase of pH because it uses carbon dioxide and a reactant which decreases concentration of carbonic acid

what is the result when photosynthesising plants remove carbon dioxide from water. it reduces proton levels and pH increases
