Homeostasis Process in which an organism or cell maintains a stable internal environment.
Biomolecule A molecule produced by a living organism.
Articulation Point of contact between bones.
Suture Immovable junction between two bones.
ATP Primary energy source for cells.
Bone Any piece of hard whitish tissue making up the skeleton.
Cartilage Tough flexible tissue that lines joints and gives structure.
Ligament Short band of tough flexible fibrous connective tissue connecting two bones or cartilages.
Joint A structure in the body which two parts of the skeleton are fitted together.
Metabolism Sum of chemical reactions that take place in the body’s cells to produce energy and materials for growth, reproduction, and health.
