Acid substance/material with a low pH
Alkaline substance/material with a high pH
Backflow an unwanted flow of water in the reverse direction
Corrosion the degradation of a metal due to a reaction with its environment
Friction the force resisting the relative motion of surfaces
Potable safe to drink
Pressure the force of water pushing through pipes
Soil Pipe a sewage or waste water pipe
Stack Vent a vertical pipe that runs through a roof and removes gas and odors
Static Pressure the pressure of a fluid or gas when it is not moving
Trap a curved section of pipe that prevents sewer gases from entering through drains
Valve regulate the flow and temperature in pipes and plumbing fixtures
