Patient has high blood pressure and bounding pulses in arms; weak or absent femoral pulses; and cool lower extremities with lower blood pressure. coarctation of aorta
Narrowing occurs at the entrance to the pulmonary artery. Resistance to blood flow causes right ventricular hypertrophy and decreased pulmonary blood flow. pulmonic stenosis
The prominent anatomic consequence is the hypertrophy of the left ventricular wall leading to increased end-diastolic pressure. aortic stenosis
