Coronal plane Divides the body into anterior and posterior portions.
Anatomical Position Standard body orientation.
Transverse Plane Divides the body into superior and inferior portions.
pH A measure of how acidic or basic a solution is.
Superficial Depth of an object within the body.
Medial Toward the midline of the body
Sagittal Plane Divides the body into right and left portions.
Lateral Farther from the midline of the body.
Posterior Found toward the back of the body.
Superior Closer to the head.
