Guidelines 2005 information relating to ACLS treatment

| Vasopressin 40 units | Used as alternative to 1st or 2nd dose of Epi |
| Amiodarone 300 mg | Used as first line anti-arrhythmic for VF and Pulseless VT |
| 6 H's and 6 T's | Possible and treatable causes of PEA and asystole |
| Fibrinolytics or PCI | Goal of treatment in the STEMI |
| Transcutaneous pacing | Initial treatment for 2nd Degree Type II or 3rd Degree AV blocks |
| Atropine 0.5 mg | Treatment of symptomatic bradycardias, not 2nd Degree or 3rd Degree AV Block |
| Hypovolemia | Easiest corrected of the probable causes of PEA and asystole |
| 360 joules monophasic | Initial defibrillation dosage in VF and Pulseless VT |
| Intraosseous | Next prefered route of drug administration after IV |
| Primary confirmation | 5 point ausculation after intubation to ensure successful ET placement |
