| jurisdiction | the power or right to make judgments about the law, to arrest & punish criminals, etc. or the area in which a group has this power |
| justice | just behavior or treatment, fairness |
| legislation | law or laws enacted by a governing body |
| legislator | a person who makes laws |
| legitimate | able to be defended with logic or justification, conforming to rules or laws |
| perjury | the crime of telling a lie in court after promising to tell the truth |
| prejudice | a judgment or influence that causes negative thoughts or feelings |
