| Motion | A change in an object's position |
| Speed | How fast an object's position changes over time |
| Velocity | The speed and direction of an object |
| Acceleration | A change in velocity over time |
| Force | Any push or pull |
| Balanced Forces | When forces act on an object without changing it's motion |
| Inertia | The tendency of an object in motion to stay in motion or of an object at rest to stay at rest |
| Gravity | The force that is pulling you and Earth together |
| Friction | A force between surfaces that slows objects or stops them from moving |
| Energy | The ability to do work, it can make an object move or change. Energy can be classified into two main forms: stored energy and energy in motion. |
| Collision | Occurs when two or more objects hit each other with a force |
| Energy transfer | The movement of energy from one object to another |
| Conservation of Energy | Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only change form |
