| Bring about | To cause or make happen. "If you want to bring about your dreams, you must set up a coherent plan". |
| Bring up | To mention or raise. "He's broken up with his girlfriend three days ago, let's not bring up the topic". |
| Carry on | To continue. "Don't insist on complaining about your bad marks, you must carry on and focus on the next semester". |
| Come up with | To think or create. "Every monday, I must come up with original journalistic topics for my work meetings". |
| Cut down on | To reduce. "My cousin suffers from imsomnia, so he cut down on his hours playing videogames, in order to sleep better". |
| Get along with | To have a good relationship with. "Despite many years have passed since I graduated from school, I still get along with my old friends". |
| Come across | To find by chance. "On my way to his work, my dad came across a traffic accident at the Panamerican Highway". |
| Get away with | Escape without punishment. "My cousin stole some cookies from that glass jar and he managed to get away with it". |
| Come up | to arise or occur. "While we were working on the renovation, some structural problems came up that we didn't anticipate". |
