| dependent variable | factor in an experiment that changes as a result of other factors changing |
| theory | explanation of a phenomenon based on observation, experimentation, and reasoning; supported by a large amount of evidence |
| accuracy | how close a measurement is to the true value of the thing being measured (all arrows same distance from the bullseye but not on the bullseye) |
| precision | the exactness of the measurement (all arrows grouped together but not on bullseye) |
| model | a description, representation, or imitation of an object, system, process, or concept |
| error | the amount of imprecision or variation in a set of measurements |
