| Energy | the ability to do work or cause change it exists in various forms such as kinetic, potential, thermal and more. |
| Work | The transfer of energy that occurs when a force is applied to an object and the objects move in the same direction of the force. |
| Force | A push or pull that can cause an object to move change direction or change shape measured in Newton (N) |
| Potential Energy | The stored energy in an energy due to its position or state for example a rock at the top of a hill has potential energy. |
| Kinetic Energy | The energy an object possesses due to its motion calculated using KE=1/2 m v2 which is half of the mass x the velocity squared |
| Mechanical Energy | The total energy of an object due to its motion (kinetic) and its position (potential) |
