IPC Unit 8 Electricity Vocabulary

DefinitionTerm
a closed system and path that an electric current can flow through electric circuit
an electric circuit in which the devices are arranged so that the charges must flow through each one series circuit
the area around a magnet containing all of the magnetic lines of force magnetic field
positive or negative charge generated from unequal number of protons and electrons; charge is generated from the flow of electrons through material electric charge
an electric circuit in which the devices are arranged on separate branches and charges have multiple paths to travel through parallel circuit
attractive or repulsive force between electric charges and magnets electromagnetic force
