what is the scientific method? A method of research with defined steps that includes experiments and careful observations.
What is a hypothesis? A suggested explanation for an event, which one can test.
What is a theory? A theory is a tested and confirmed explanation for observations or phenomena.
What is Basic Science? Seeks to expand knowledge regardless of the short-term application of that knowledge.

What is hypothesis - based science? Deductive, begins with a specific question or problem and a potential answer or solution that one can test
Scientific Method in correct steps Make an Observation, ask a question, form a hypothesis that answers the question, make a prediction based on the hypothesis, do an experiment to test the prediction, Analyze the Results.
