Scientific inquiry and the processes of science.

| evidence | something easily observed that can be used to confirm or deny an idea |
| experiment | a procedure performed under controlled conditions to test a hypothesis |
| observation | recording information about the natural world using any of the five senses |
| hypothesis | a prediction or educated guess about the relationship between two variables, based on a person's observations, knowledge, and experience |
| variable | a factor that can be measured or changed during an experiment |
| conclusion | a summary of the results of an experiment, based on observations and measurements |
| scientific method | a process that scientists use to solve problems and gain knowledge by making observations, collecting data, and testing ideas |
| impact | to directly affect something |
| pattern | an observable event that happens in the same way again and again |
| texture | how an object feels when it is touched, such as soft, rough or smooth |
| simulate | to demonstrate or copy something to make it easier to understand |
| outcome | the result of an event |
| primary | the first or most important part |
| property | an observable trait |
| respond | to react to a change or action |
| science | the study of the natural world using scientific toold and resources |
