Optic Nerve
Biology the study of living things
Quantitative Data Numbers or measurements taken during data collection
Qualitative data Observations or descriptions taken during data collection
Population A group of the same kind of organisms that live together in a particular area
Interaction An action between two or more organisms that has an effect on both organisms
Direct Interaction When one organism affects another IMMEDIATELY and SPECIFICALLY
Indirect Interaction When an organism effects another through a CHAIN of EVENTS
Habitat an area that supplies all the things ncessary for an organism to survive
Vertebrate An organism that has a BACKBONE
Invertebrate An organism that does NOT HAVE a BACKBONE
Organism A living thing
Abiotic factors The NONLIVING thing that effect ecosystem (eg. weather, chemicals)
Biotic Factors LIVING things that affect an ecosystem (eg. bacteria, animals, plants)
Bioaccumulation Process of something BUILDING UP through a FOOD CHAIN in organisms
Food Chain Links between organisms that show how energy is transferred
