solar system a star (like our sun) and all of the bodies that revolve around it (like planets)
nighttime when your part of the earth is facing AWAY from the sun
daytime when your part of the earth is facing TOWARDS the sun
noon when your shadow is its (approximate) shortest
solar eclipse when people on earth try to see the sun but the sun is blocked by the moon
lunar eclipse when people on earth try to see the moon but the moon is in the shadow of the earth
24 hours how long it takes the earth to rotate once
365 and 1/4 days how long it takes the earth to revolve once
27 (ish) days how long it takes the moon to revolve once
