| lymph capillaries | merge to form larger lymph vessels which flow through lymph nodes |
| lymph vessels | thin walled, vein-like tubes that carry lymph and have valves to prevent backflow of lymph |
| lymph nodes | lymph is filtered through these in one direction to the heart. small beans, any foreign material is engulfed and destroyed by leucocytes. only clean fluids can exit the node |
