QuestionAnswer
INHERITANCE is where parents pass on characteristics to their offspring through geans.
GENES small sections of DNA that carry genetic information for characteristics.
CHARACTERISTICS another word for features contorolled by genes.
CHROMOSOMES are made of DNA and carry genes.
NUCLEUS parts of the cell which contains chronosomes and genetic information of the cell.
SEXUAL REPRODUCTION requires parents and the genes are mixed when the sex cells fuse and this causes variatuion.
ASEXUAL REPORDUCTION produces clones of the parents that are genetically identical.
TISSUE CULTURE is a type of cloning in plants done by man.
CUTTING is a type of cloning can happen naturally or by man.
CLONING ANIMALS can be done by dividing the cells of early embryos and putting them into a surrogate.
CELL FUSION CLONING is done by fusing a normal animal cell with an egg cell and letting it grow in a surrogate.
GENETIC ENGINEERING is where the genes of an organism are altered or modified by humans.
GENETIC MODIFICATION (GM) is where the genes of an organism are altered or modified by humans
