| Aquifer | A Body of underground rock/sediment that holds groundwater |
| Atmosphere | A layer of gases that surround the earth |
| Bacteria | Bacteria is like germs. They are small microorganisms and are everywhere. They can be good or bad for you. |
| bioremediation | A technique to clean water. It involves introducing microorganisms to break down bad parts in water and soil. |
| Chlorine | A chemical that is commonly used to keep water clean. |
| Climate change | A change in a climate's normal temperatures and weather. largely, this means warming up a particular place, causing rising sea levels, melting glaciers, etc. |
| Contaminants | Make water not suitable for drinking; usually has harmful chemicals. |
| Desalination | The method of removing salt from salt water to make it suitable for drinking. |
| Filtration | Removing any chemicals, bacteria, or germs from a product or material to make it suitable for consumption. |
| Glacier | A compressed mass of snow, rock or sediment. |
| ground water | Water that is found beneath the earth's surface. |
| Heat Capacity | How much heat an object or a material can store, hold, and release. |
| Irrigation | A Human-made way to supply water to plants, agriculture, and crops. |
