| Deposition | Dropping rock (after erosion) |
| Abrasion | Physical weathering process that occurs when sediments are scraped together. |
| Valley | Low land between hills. Rivers make V-shape, Glaciers make U-shape . |
| River | A large flowing body of water that ends in a lake or ocean |
| Glacier | Slowly moving mass of ice formed near the poles or on top of a mountain made of compacted snow. |
| Mass Movement | Erosion due to gravity pulling rocks down a hill. |
| Unsorted Sediment | Rocks that were deposited in a random assortment (not sorted by any property like size)- Glaciers and mass movement both deposit material in an unsorted manner. |
| Oxbow Lake | Lake that forms when the meander of a river bends into itself and a portion of the river gets cut off. |
