What is different about each of the sucrose solutions we set up? They are a range of concentrations
What do we use to cut 6 equally sized pieces of potato? A knife, cork borer and a ruler
When do we weigh the potatoes? Before they go in the solution and after they come out
How long should we leave the potatoes in the solution for? 4 hours
Which potato will have the greatest increase in mass? Why? The one in distilled water (lowest sucrose concentration) as it has the greatest concentration gradient between potato and solution
What are we changing in this experiment? Concentration of sucrose solution
What 2 things are we controlling in this experiment? 1. Volume of sucrose solution 2. Dimensions of potato
