What is MItosis? Mitosis is when the Nucleus divides.
What is prophase? Prophase is when centrioles move to opposite poles and the nuclear envelope disappears.
What is growth phase? Growth phase is when the cell grows and increases in size.
In prophase, do the centrioles move to opposite poles? Yes, the centrioles move to opposite poles during Prophase.
What is Metaphase? Spindle fibres attach on the chromosomes and line them up in the middle.
What is Anaphase? Anaphase is when spindle fibres retract and pull the chromosomes towards each centriole.
What is Telophase? Telophase is when spindle fibres are back in the centrioles.
How much cell checkpoints are there? There are 3 cell checkpoints.
What is Cytokinesis? Cell Membrane pinches off in the middle and separates into two daughter cells.
What is Apoptosis? Apoptosis is when the cell dies because it is too old to function. The organelle responsible for this is lysosomes and has a specialized function.
Can cancer cells undergo Mitosis an unlimited number of times? Yes, Cancer Cells can undergo mitosis an unlimited number of times
What is a tumor? Tumors is when the cells clump together.
What is Synthesis Phase? This is when the cell duplicates the chromosomes.
