Oxygen A chemical element essential for respiration, found in the atmosphere and dissolved in water
oxygen (O2) The diatomic form of oxygen, essential for cellular respiration
P (parental) The original organisms used in a genetic cross
Paleontology The study of fossils and ancient life forms
Parasitism An interaction where one organism benefits at the expense of another
Parent An organism that produces offspring
parent cell A cell that divides to produce daughter cells
