Why are cigarettes that give somebody cancer considered a mutagen? Mutagens are considered a catalyst that mutates the genes. Cancer is a result of a gene mutation, which the cigarette is the cause of, leading it to be a mutagen.
What is required for an organism to be cloned? The cells of the original animal is put into an unfertilized egg that has its nucleus removed.
