Absorption Wave that transfers energy to the medium it is traveling through
Amplitude Height of a wave
Compressional/Longitudinal wave a wave in which the particles of the medium vibrate parallel to the direction of wave motion
Diffraction Wave that spreads out as it passes through an opening
Electromagnetic waves A form of energy that can travel through space.
Energy Property carried by all waves that can cause change or do work.
Reflection Wave that bounces off an object.
Refraction Wave that bends as it crosses through a medium or boundary.
Transmit to send energy on
Transverse Wave A wave in which the particles of the medium move perpendicular to the direction of wave motion.
Wave A disturbance that transfers energy from place to place
Wavelength The distance between two corresponding parts of a wave
