| Coevolution | The evolutionary change between interacting species |
| Combustion | The process of burning a fuel in the presence of oxygen to produce heat, light, and carbon dioxide |
| Commensalism | An ecological relationship in which one species benefits and the other is neither harmed nor helped |
| common ancestry | The idea that all organisms share a common evolutionary ancestor |
| Community | All the different populations of organisms that live and interact in a particular area |
| comparative anatomy | The study of similarities and differences in the anatomy of different species |
| Competition | The interaction between organisms in which they compete for limited resources |

| Conservation | The preservation and management of natural resources and ecosystems |
| Constraints | Restrictions or limitations that influence the evolution of organisms |
| Consumers | Organisms that obtain energy by consuming other organisms |
| convergent evolution | The independent evolution of similar features in different species due to similar environmental pressures |
