Vocabulary that relates to rocks, fossils and landforms.

| Fossil | The preserved remains of an ancient organism. |
| Sedimentary Rock | A type of rock formed by the deposition of sediment in layers. |
| Sediment | Small pieces of weathered rock. |
| Canyon | A deep, narrow valley with steep sides. |
| Marine | Related to a body of saltwater. |
| Erosion | The movement of sediment from one place to another by wind, water, or ice. |
| Weathered | Rocks are broken down into tiny pieces called sediments |
| Deposition | Sediments are dropped off in a new location. |
| Glacier | A slow-moving mass or river of ice. |
| Slope | A measure of the change in elevation; steepness. |
