Earth's Patterns

pattern a series or chain that repeats itself
sequence a process when one thing always follows another
orbit a regular, repeating path that one object in space takes around another one
rotate to turn or spin around a point at the center
revolve to move around an object in a circular path
axis a real or imaginary straight line going through the center of an object that is spinning
equator an imaginary line around the earth that goes exactly midway between the North Pole and the South Pole
hemisphere either of two halves of the earth
