| earthquakes | a sudden release of energy in the Earth´s crust that can cause shaking of Earth´s crust |
| landslides | the sudden movement of rock down a slope caused by rain, volcanoes, earthquakes, or instability |
| volcanic eruption | a sudden release of pressure which causes magma, ash, gas, and rock shards to erupt |
| sand dunes | form from the erosion and deposition of sand by the wind |
| canyons (v-shaped valley) | form from the weathering and erosion of rock by fast-moving water, such as rivers |
| river deltas | form from the erosion and deposition of sediment found in rivers |
| glacier valleys (u-shaped valley) | form from the weathering and erosion of rock by slow-moving glaciers |
| weathering | the breaking down of rock into sediment by wind, water, or ice |
| erosion | the movement of sediment from one place to another by wind, water, or ice |
| deposition | the dropping off or settling of sediment as wind, water, or slow/stop |
