Forces and Motion

TermDefinition
Gravity A force that pulls everything and everybody towards the earth.
Mass The amount of matter in an object.
Weight A measure of the force earths gravity on the mass of an object or a living thing
Air resistance The force of air that slows down falling objects.
Newtons 1st law An object at rest stays at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. Inertia - An object wants to keep doing what they are doing.
Newton's 2nd law Law of Acceleration / more mass - less acceleration / more force - more accel
