Convergent Boundary the boundary between two colliding plates.
Divergent Boundary the boundary between two plates that are pulling away from each other.
Transform Boundary the boundary between two plates that are sliding past each other.
Asthenosphere putty-like layer of the mantle under the lithosphere; responsible for the movement of the crust
Subduction zones region in which a portion of a tectonic plate sinks beneath another plate into the Earth's interior; defined by deep oceanic trenches
Theory of Plate Tectonics Earth's lithosphere is divided into several plates that glide over the mantle
Continental Drift The continents were once together, but separated over time
