Organisms and Environments

invasive species An organism introduced into an ecosystem that is not native, has no natural predators, and causes harm.
negative human impact The destruction and displacement of ecosystems due to the construction of highways, dams, shopping centers, etc.
overpopulation An excess of a single species.
perish To die.
pollution Harmful materials or substances in the environment.
positive human impact The protection and restoration of natural areas and wildlife.
scarcity A lack of resources to meet basic needs.
