| Atmosphere | A thin layer of gasses surrounding Earth |
| Biosphere | Part of Earth in which life exists including land, water, and air or atmosphere. |
| Clouds | A mass of tiny water droplets or ice crystals that floats in the air above Earth |
| Condensation | The change of state from a gas to a liquid |
| Crystallization | When water freezes and collects in frozen form |
| Density | The measurement of how tightly a material is packed together |
| Earth systems | The four main physical systems of earth- hydrosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere, biosphere |
| Fog | A cloud at ground level |
| Geosphere | all of the rock at and below Earths surface (crust, mantle, and core) |
| Glacier | Any large mass of ice that moves slowly over land |
| Ground Water | Water that fills the cracks and spaces in underground soil and rock layers |
| Hydrosphere | All the water at and near the surface of the earth, 97% of which is in oceans |
| Lanform | A naturally formed feature on the surface of the Earth, such as coastline, dune, or mountain |
| Pathway | how water moves on land due to gravity |
| Precipitation | Any form of water that falls from the clouds and reaches Earths surface as rain, snow, sleet, or hail |
| Runoff | Water that flows over the ground surface rather into soaking into the ground |
| Transpiration | Evaporation of water from the leaves of a plant |
| Water Cycle | The continual movement of water among Earths atmosphere, oceans, and land surface through evaporation, condensation, and precipitation |
