| density | The measurement of how tighly a materail is packed togeather |
| earth systems | the four main physical of the eath- hydrosphere, lithosphere , atmosphere, biosphere |
| fog | a cloud at ground level. |
| geosphere | all of the rock at and below earth's surface (crust, mantle, and core |
| glacier | any large mass of ice that moves slowly over land |
| groundwater | water that fills the cracks and spaces in under ground soil and rock layers |
| hydrosphere | all the water at and near the surface of the earth. 97% of which is in oceans |
| landform | a naturally-formed feature on the surface of earth such as a coastline, dune, or mountian |
| pathway | how water moves on land due to gravity |
| precipition | any form of water that fall from clouds and reaches earths surface as rain, snow, sleet, or hail |
| runoff | water that flows over the ground surface rather then soaking into the ground |
| transpiration | evaporation of water from the leaves of a plant |
| water cycle | the continual movement of water among Earth's, oceans, and land surface through evaportion, condensation, and precipitation |
