| Density | the measurement of how tight a material is packed together |

| Fog | a cloud at ground level |
| Geosphere | all of the rock at and below surface (crust mantle, and core) |
| Glacier | any large mass of ice that moves slowly over hand |
| Groundwater | water that fills the cracks and spaces in underground soil and rock layers |
| Hydrosphere | all the water at and near the surface of earth 97% of which is in oceans |
| landform | a naturally-formed feature on the surface of earth such as a coastline, dune, or mountian |
| pathway | how water moves on land due to gravity |
| precipition | any form of water that fall from clouds and reaches earths surface as rain, snow, sleet, or hail |
| runoff | water that flows over ground surface rather than soaking into the ground |
| transpiration | evaporation of water from the leaves of plant |
| water cycle | the continual movement of water among Earths atmosphere oceans and land surface through evaporation condensation and precipitation |
