Seasons
| Term | Definition |

| Rotation | The action of an object moving in a circle around a central fixed point. |
| Axis | An imaginary line through the centre of an object, around which the object turns. |
| Revolve | To go in a circle around a central point. |
| Tilt | To move, or make something move, into a position with one side or end higher than the other. |
| Orbit | A curved path followed by a planet or an object as it moves around another planet, star, moon, etc. |
| Hemisphere | One half of the earth, especially the half above or below the equator. |
| Equator | An imaginary line around the earth at an equal distance from the north and south poles |
| Waxing Moon | The right side appears brighter, it happens after a new moon. -> New moon to Full moon |
| Waning Moon | Left side appears brighter, and happens after a full moon. -> Full moon to new moon |
| Full Moon | When earth is between the sun and the moon. (Appears to be fully visible) |
