weather The current outdoor conditions.
cold front The boundary where a cold air mass replaces a warm air mass
prediction A statement about what you think will happen, based on what you know
rain gauge A tool that measures the amount of rain at a location
thermometer A tool used to measure temperature
warm front Forms at the surface of Earth when a warm, moist air mass overtakes a cool, dense, and dryer air mass
wind vane A tool that shows wind direction
moon A natural satellite that orbits a planet; some planets have no moons, and others have over 60 moons
moon phase The shape of the illuminated portion of the Moon as seen by an observer, usually on Earth
pattern A design or sequence that is repeated
shadow A dark area made by blocking light from reaching a part of the surface
