What is in the middle of the bone? marrow
The bones that form the backbone are called vertebrae

Which joint allows the most range of motion? Ball and socket
Where is the pivot joint found? neck
What kind of motion is possible with a hinge joint? backward and forward
What attaches the bones to bones? ligaments
What attaches the muscles to the bones? tendons
What type of muscle is found only in the heart? cardiac muscle
What type of muscle tires quickly during excercise? skeletal muscles
What is the type of muscle found in the lining of the digestive system? smooth muscle
How do pairs of skeletal muscles work? While one muscle extends the other contracts.
How do opposing muslces work? against each other at a particular joint so that the joint can move.
The bones of the skeleton store minerals such as phosphorus and calcium
