Sclera a tough white outer layer that is specialized at the front of the eye as the cornea
Choroid a dark, heavily pigmented layer, specialized towards the front to form the iris
Retina gray tissue-paper-like retina
Where are the rods and cones? in the retina
Fovea the highest concentration of photoreceptors, vision is the sharpest here
Blind Spot occurs at the site where the neurons serving the retina leave the eyeball to form the optic nerve
Layers of the Retina ganglion cells, bipolar cells, rods and cones, choroid(ordered front to back of the eye)
Meissner's corpuscles near the skins surface and are good for light touch
Pacinian corpuscles much deeper and sense pressure
