Dissolve When a solid is mixed with a liquid sometimes it can dissapear into the liquid
Soluble Able to dissolve in water or another liquid.
What happens when you mix a solid into a liquid? If their molecules are attracted to each other the solid will dissolve. If not, they will cluster together and form sediment.
Why does sugar dissolve in water but pepper does not? Sugar is soluble in water because their molecules are attracted to each other so they mix evenly. However I know the sugar is still in there because the water tasted sweet. Pepper is not soluble in water because I could see clumps of it in the water.
