TermDefinition
weather Conditions of the Earth’s atmosphere; usually predicted on TV.
atmosphere A thin layer of gases like oxygen surrounding the Earth.
ozone A different kind of oxygen that has 3 molecules instead of two– usually appears after rain.
water vapor Water as a gas.
pollutants Dangerous substances in the air, water or soil.
photochemical smog A haze of ozone mixed with other chemicals; forms once multiple chemicals combine and react with pollutants in the sunlight.
acid rain Rain which contains harmful chemicals.
