A method in which an organism feeds by filtering small particles of food from water that passes by or through some part of the organism. Filter Feeding

A sessile form of a Cnidarian. It's mouth is surrounded by tentacles. Polyp
A capsule that contains a coiled, threadlike tube. Nematocyst
In Cnidarians, a cell surrounded cavity where food is digested. Gastrovascular Cavity
A part of the Cnidarian's nervous system that conducts impulses to and from all parts of the body. Nerve Net
A microscopic, photosynthetic protists that survives in a symbiotic relationship with coral. Zooxanthellae
The phylum that contains the least complex worms. Platyhelminthes
The replacement or regrowth of missing body parts. Regeneration
A tube-like, muscular organ that the planarian extends out of its mouth. Enzymes are released by this organ to begin digesting food outside the animal's body. Pharynx
The knob-shaped head of a tapeworm. Scolex
A section of the tapeworm that contains muscles, nerves, flame cells, and male and female reproductive organs. Proglottid.
This worm causes the most common of roundworm infections in humans. Ascaris
A disease caused by Trichinella which is ingested in raw or undercooked pork, pork products, or wild game. Trichinosis
