| DEPOSITION | The dropping of sediment in a new location by wind, water, or ice |
| EROSION | The movement of sediment from one place to another by wind, water, or ice. |
| SEDIMENT | Small pieces of weathered rock. |
| SEDIMENTARY ROCK | A type of rock formed from layers of sediment that is compacted and cemented over time. |
| WEATHERING | The breaking down of larger rocks into smaller pieces called sediment. |
