cardiac output The volume of blood ejected from the left side of the heart in one minute.
ejection fraction measurement of the volume percentage of left ventricular contents ejected with each contraction
stroke volume the volume of blood pumped out by a ventricle with each heartbeat
aneurysm ballooning of a weakened portion of an arterial wall
angina chest pain
atherosclerosis condition in which fatty deposits called plaque build up on the inner walls of the arteries
bradycardia slow heart rate
dyslipidemia Abnormally elevated cholesterol or fats (lipids) in the blood.
embolus A clot that breaks lose and travels through the bloodstream.
hypertension abnormally high blood pressure
hypotension low blood pressure
infarction death of tissue
regurgitation backflow or ejecting of contents through an opening
stenosis narrowing
tachycardia fast heart rate
thrombus a blood clot attached to the interior wall of an artery or vein
