What is the precontemplation stage? individual isn’t even considering making a change
What is the contemplation stage? individual is thinking about making a change within next 6 months
What is the preparation stage? steps are taken to get ready to take action
What is the action stage? person has made a change but for less than 6 months
What is the maintenance stage? individual has remained consistent for greater than 6 months
What are the three domains of learning? cognitive, affective, psychomotor
What is the cognitive domain of learning? focuses on how learner thinks (how they think)
What is the affect domain of learning? focuses on how learner’s values evolve (how they feel)
What is the psychomotor domain of learning? application of knowledge (what they do)
What are the levels of cognitive domain of learning? knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation
What is the knowledge level of cognitive domain of learning? ability to remember and recall info without understanding
What is the comprehension level of cognitive domain of learning? ability to understand and interpret information
What is the application level of cognitive domain of learning? ability to use material for new situations
What is the analysis level of cognitive domain of learning? ability to examine and break down info
What is the synthesis level of cognitive domain of learning? ability to assemble, arrange, or generate info
What is the evaluation level of cognitive domain of learning? ability to appraise and critique information
What is health literacy? ability to obtain, understand, and make health-related decisions
What are the risk factors for poor health literacy? older adults, low socioeconomic status, medically underserved
