red shift and blue shift a shift of spectral lines toward the red end or blue end of the electromagnetic spectrum. Red shift indicates something is moving away

Expansion What the Universe has been doing ever since the big bang
Galaxies System of billions of stars held together by gravity (ours is the milky way).
Hubble's Law law that says the farther away from Earth we look, the faster the galaxies are moving away from us.
13.8 Billion Age of the universe
Hydrogen The simplest element. Made up 75% of the universe shortly after the big bang.
Wavelength The size of a wave
Doppler effect The apparent change in length of a wave when its source is moving towards or away from an observer
