PHYSIOLOGY Physiology is the science that deals with the functions of the living organism and its parts
ANATOMY Anatomy is often defined as study of the structure of an organism and the relationships of its parts.
Afferent Afferent means that a signal is traveling toward a particular center or point of reference.
Efferent Efferent means that the signal is moving away from a center or other point of reference.
Nitrogen N :Component of all proteins and nucleic acids
Magnesium Mg: Component of many energy-transferring enzymes
Iron Fe: Critical component of hemoglobin in the blood
Carbohydrates Carbohydrate compounds contain the ele-ments carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen—usually in the ratio of 1:2:1.
TRIGLYCERIDES Triglycerides (triacylglycerols), or fats, are the most abundant lipids, and they function as the body’s most concentrated source of energy
Rough ER (RER) RER is made up of broad, flattened sacs that extend outward from the boundary of the nucleus. RER sacs are dotted with innumerable small granules called ribosomes
