| Gravitational Potential Energy | Energy stored in objects due to their height above the ground |
| Elastic Potential Energy | Energy stored in stretched or squashed objects |
| Kinetic Energy | Energy due to an objects motion |
| Electrical Energy | Energy due to the movement of electrically-charged particles |
| Heat Energy | Energy due to the movement of particles/atoms. Temperature is a measure of this |
| Sound Energy | The energy of vibrating objects - some may be heard |
| Light Energy | The energy of electromagnetic waves - some may be visible |
| Law of Conservation of Energy | "energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can be transformed from one form to another" |
| Convection | The transfer of heat energy through a liquid or gas by the motion of particles |
